What Are All These Mobile Networks? EDGE, 3G, H+, Etc:

Nowadays, Everyone use mobile Phones Specially for Connecting to the Internate and other Service also more than use for Actually for making phone calls.

The Quality of the Internate, You receive significantly. some countries like US,UK and many more have advance Telecom Neywork better than Other countries. It is not necessarily have some quality of network coverage as Big cities.

Your Smartphone, You know the capacity of your mobile network coverage using, Right side upper part of signal bar, always show G,2G,3G,H or 4G and many more. Today What we are talking about, but you know What about those Codes mean?? so keep reading this so You’re Never confused.

2G

Lets start work from slow to fastest. 2G in G means Generation. 2G was launched in 1991 and these technology allowed Data service such as SMS and MMS. The first time Radio Signals is better than 1G, so Great Spectrum and help to Mobile phone with Market. 2G has only speed of 50 Kbps(Kilobits per seconds), these are inclosed big part in Europe and North America, now being turned off 2G network.

G

G is short for (GPRS) General Packet Radio Service. It is started in 2000, After 2G. G has unofficial name is 2.5G G has transfer Maximum Speed of 114 Kbps(Kilobit per Seconds), which make it the slow connection. G is not Suitable for Instant Messaging like Fb Chat, Whats App or Hike. Because these are Extremely Slowly.

E

E represent (EDGE) Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution. E started in 2003 and that time it has very popular becuase its support Maximum Speed of 217 Kbps(Kilobits per seconds). so speed about almost 3X Faster Than any of Predecessors. its a Faster Than G but You will Wait for any video Streaming on Youtube But the General Website they have Work done Fastly. 604 EDGE network in 213 Countries. this are Widest used Mobile Network in the World. its Unofficial Nickname is 2.75 G but E is for EDGE is suitable for this Network Coverage.

3G

3G is actually a lot Older Than People Realize. These first 3G launched in Japan in 2001, the first network of 3G in US was version windless and went live in July 2002. Universal Mobile Telecommunication Service(UMTS) is based on the 3G and these rather than GSM,GPRS,EDGE because its Maximum speed of 384 Kbps(Kilobits per seconds), its more than Adequate for streaming Music ad Ever Video. Today you will find 3G Network coverage found in everything on mobile Television and other Internate Technology.

H

H Symbol means, That High Speed Packet Access(HSPA) Network. HSPA is based on the same technology as 3G but Replace 3G technology (UMTS). its Maximum speed is of 7.2 Mbps(Megabits per Seconds). its easily Handle Download Music, Video,Web Browsing and other Application. H is support For Long term Download as a fastly like Movie Download or  Large files. Worldwide began in 2010, But is very famous and available in Almost all Countries.

H+

H+ is Next Generation of H, Name refers(High Speed Packet Access) H+. these are greater  Download speed than the Previous version. When 6 Brought these speed 14.4 Mbps , 7 Brought increase speed 21.1 Mbps, 8 Brought increase to 42.2 Mbps, 9 took it to 84.4 Mbps. Now release 10 at Maximum Speed of 168.8 Mbps. Now important to Remember, one will rarely see these speed during Normal speed. Most people can get New technology Network Coverage Like 4G Network but this are Limited availability.

4G

Rearly or Few people see notification 4G network in Bar, Who say lucky has Access the Greatest Mobile Network! 4G !. The 4G network in the world in 2009 form online in Stockholm, other country joined but slowly for these network coverage. In UK occured in 2014 but US is the largest cities Now have the Network. In 4G use (LTE) Long Term Evolution.
  • LTE has High speed, Specially Next Generation LTE-A Static to rollout.
  • WiMAX Network not supported system like 2G and 3G.
  • LTE has Draws less battery power on a mobile.
Now 4G is able to go Maximum speed as 1 Gigabits per seconds and these are suggest that when 5G Arrives. it also support speed upto 1 Tetabit per seconds.

it should be known that 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G etc refers to the different generations of wireless communication technology characterized by having a defined range of speed.

GPRS(General Packet Radio Service)
GPRS is a packet-based* wireless communication service. It is a 2G technology network that support a download speed of up to 114Kbps.
Limitation of GPRS is that GPRS data cannot be sent while a voice call is in progress.

EDGE(Enhanced Data GSM Evolution)
GPRS and EDGE are both 2G technology but EDGE is significantly faster with a download speed of up to 384Kbps. EDGE is sometimes called a 2.5G network as it also has some characteristics of a 3G network but it doesn't satisfy the specification.

3G
Introduction of 3G network made video calling and seamless streaming of video possible, with download speed of up to 3.1Mbps.

HSDPA(High-Speed Down-link Packet Access)
It is based on the 3G network and an enhancement to 3G. Thus has a faster speed, download speed can be up to 14Mbps. HSDPA is sometimes called 3.5G.

HSPA+(Evolved High-Speed Packet Access)
HSPA+ is an evolution HSPA(HSDPA&HSUPA). It is a 4G technology that allows download at a rate of up to 168Mbps.

4G LTE(Long Term Evolution)
LTE is a 4G communication standard that supports HD video streaming, download speed as high as 299.6Mbps.

Summary
GPRS(114Kbps) < EGDE(368Kbps) < 3G(3.1Mbps) < HSDPA(14Mbps) < HSPA+(168Mbps) < 4G/LTE(299.6Mbps)

*Packet-based means data is broken into packets before being transmitted.

Difference between Voice Over LTE and 3G voice services?

LTE by design doesn't have a Circuit Switched core which means even the voice calls are routed through the packet switched networks. The challenge currently lies in the fact that LTE specifications doesn't have a mechanism to hand-over a call to CS network which in most cases is 3G network.

In real world, say for example a subscriber is driving in Area A with LTE coverage and is using VoLTE services and then he enters area B with only 3G services. In such a situation, the voice call will drop.

There are 2 solutions to this problem :-

1. Have LTE everywhere - This will happen but will take it take sometime to have it.

2. Re-direct CS calls to 3G networks - This is the economically viable and technologically possible, intermediate solution to the above problem.

4G LTE is a packet switched technology whereas 2G and 3G are circuit switched. The difference between circuit and packet switching is that in circuit switching, a link between the two parties having the call is made and it exists as long as the duration of the call. A particular amount of bandwidth is reserved to make the call. Packet switching does not require a dedicated line to be active for a call. It allocates portions of the bandwidth to different users for a certain duration. Data is broken down into packets and these are sent with packets from other users through a shared line. This makes packet switching less reliable than circuit switching. The advantage of packet switching is that it conserves bandwidth.

Voice traffic from cellular phones is usually carried through circuit switched lines. Packet switching is prone to increased latency as some packets may take longer to arrive. This is detrimental to voice calls which have strict limitations on latency. For example, if a person transmits "Hello", the communications system would break this down to packets and send them individually. Some packets may encounter a delay and some could get lost. It is the duty of the receiver to re-assemble the packets. With the loss and delay, all that the person at the other end can hear would be " he" and "o". With advancements in technology and better protocols, voice transmission over packet switched networks had gotten better. Skype, Google Hangouts and other VoIP services now offer better call quality. This greatly depends on the choice of transport protocol, the bandwidth of the links and the choice of the codec.

As 4G LTE uses a packet switched network to transmit data, there are two technologies that are used for voice calls,

1) CSFB or Circuit Switched Fall Back, when a user makes a voice call the mobile latches to a 3G or 2G network that is available to make the call. Data traffic is sent through the LTE network.

2) VoLTE or Voice over LTE, which is similar to VoIP and the voice traffic is packetized and sent through LTE. The operator will have to invest heavily in the network infrastructure to improve call quality on VoLTE.

Most operators who provide LTE services also have legacy services (2G or 3G) support in the area. This is why they prefer the CSFB option for voice calls.

Tips to avoid damage to battery while charging phone

A battery is the most important component of any smart phone. There are some phone batteries that take seconds to charge and at the same time, it takes seconds to drain. This can be very annoying because it limits you the things you can do with your phone like taking selfies, listening to music and watching videos. Therefore, it is important to charge your phone properly in order to prevent the damage of your battery or its quick charge.

Always use the charger that comes with your phone
If you bought a new phone, it is better to always use the charger that came with your phone whenever you want to charge. But if you bought fairly used, do not just buy any charger. Using any charge to charge your phone can damage your gadget or battery.

Keep your phone cool, dry place
The position you place your battery is important. Do not place it in a hot place for example, where the rays of the sun can reach it. Your battery will drain faster when it is hot. As a caveat, it is better you unplug it when it is hot and always disconnect it whenever it is fully charged.

Don't Calibrate your Battery
Calibrating your battery means that you want your android phone to properly report the percentage charge of your of your device. Many phone users calibrate their phones when it moves from nearly full to nearly empty. Notwithstanding, you do not need to calibrate your battery. It is either you replace your battery or use it like that. If you rely on calibration to boost your battery, it can destroy your battery and device.

However, what we can tell you is the right way to charge your phone, courtesy the tips shared by Google. Here is what Google says about charging your phone and the best possible way to do so in a bid to enhance the life of battery.

Also Read:Innovative Ways of Using a Smart phone

Use the charger that came with your phone. Google says that other charger may charge slowly, not at all, or damage your device or battery.

There is a saying that when you get a new phone, you should calibrate its battery. Google says it is rubbish. "You don't need to teach your device how much capacity the battery has by going from totally charged to completely drained," says the company.

You should keep your phone cool. The heat is an enemy of battery. It drains battery faster, and it sucks away its life. So according to Google, avoid situations where your device can overheat. "Your battery will drain much faster when it's hot, even if you're not using it, and this can even damage your battery.
Keep in mind that your device warms up when it's plugged in, so try not to keep it charging all the time," says the company. To add to this, we feel this tip is particularly important in places like Delhi where in summer ambient temperature can touch 40-degrees if you are not in an environment cooled with an AC.

Try to keep the battery half full. Or as Google says it, "For the best battery lifespan, try to keep your battery charged above 50 per cent as much as possible." And in Guru Google, we trust!

Doctors must have told you that binge eating is bad. And so are hunger pangs. Apparently, it is true for smartphones too. This means, you should regularly give your phone bite-size battery charge. "Small charges throughout the day are best for battery health. Battery lifespan can suffer if it's charged from zero to full and then completely drained on a regular basis," says Google.

At time we need to store the phone for prolonged period. In such instances Google believes that the phone should be stored with battery half full.

Run an Android App on Your Computer (PC or Mac) Using BlueStacks

Android is probably the most popular operating system for smartphones today. With its increasing popularity, hundreds and thousands of Android apps are released everyday on the Google Play store, the official Android apps repository.

You can find an Android app for almost anything on Google Play store. This includes Android games, productivity apps, business apps, finance apps etc. The only issue now is that these Android apps are getting more and more resource heavy with each version. So you have to spend a lot on high power Android smartphones.

There are times when you just want to test an Android app to check if its suitable for your purpose. But you can’t as it needs much more resources (RAM and processor) compared to what you have on your Android phone. But thanks to BlueStacks, you can now run an Android app on your computer (PC or Mac) easily.

BlueStacks is a software, available for both Mac and PC that lets you run an Android app on your computer. You can play Android games on your computer, and use any other Android app on computer just like you would do on your Android smartphone.

Installation and Setup of BlueStacks on Your Computer

Installing BlueStacks on your computer is very easy. Go to BlueStacks home page and download BlueStacks for the operating system you have installed on your computer. It may be Windows or Mac. Once you have the BlueStacks .exe file, double click on it and follow the on screen instructions to install it.

Important Note: If you are trying to install BlueStacks on a laptop, make sure to plug in your power cord while you install it. This is because the laptop battery may not be able to handle the power needed by graphic card while installing Bluestacks

Once installed, you need to setup BlueStacks for your computer. This is one time procedure. To do this, start BlueStacks. It will immediately start downloading the Android apps database and other necessary updated features. It may take a few minutes to complete depending upon the speed of your internet connection
.

Now go to ‘My Apps’ in BlueStacks and click on ‘App Search’. BlueStacks will now prompt you for one time setup where you have to select the preferred App store and enter you authentication details. There will be a list of available App stores including the Amazon App store and Google Play store. Select Google Play Store from the list. Now accept the BlueStacks Terms and login using your Google account.

Important Note: If the password of your Google account contains special characters or capital letters, you need to use the BlueStacks virtual keyboard to enter it. You can find it at the bottom of BlueStacks window.
That’s it. Your are not ready to run an Android app on your computer.

Run Android App on Your Computer Using BlueStacks

To run an Anroid app on your computer using BlueStacks, you need to first download it. To download an Android app, start BlueStacks, and click on the small search icon in the top right corner of the BlueStacks interface. Now enter the name of the android app you want to install and click on ‘Find’.

Bluestacks will now search for your Android app in all the available marketplaces and it will list them on the next screen. Select the default Google Play store here.

Note that is you want to install some rare Android app, then it may not be available at Google Play marketplace. So you will not see it in the BlueStacks search results. In this case, you can install the app from any other marketplace, but make sure that its a trusted source like Amazon Android market.

Once you select the market, you can start downloading the Android app.

Once download is complete, go to ‘My Apps’ window in BlueStacks and click on the Android app to run it on your computer. You can repeat this same procedure to download, install and run any Android app on your computer.

Innovative Uses for Your Smartphone Camera

Did you know that your smartphone camera is so much more than a gadget for taking selfies? From filing insurance claims to helping you choose your next beer, your phone’s camera is a versatile device.
If like me you are guilty of never putting down your phone, at least make sure you are maximizing your built-in camera capabilities!

Also Read: Smartphones will soon be able to share power by touching other devices

1. Use it as a mirror

While it doesn’t seem overly innovative, using that front-facing camera as a mirror is one of my favorite uses. So simple and yet so practical. You won’t always have friends around to tell you when you have spinach in your teeth so thank goodness you have your phone to check your pearly whites after dinner!

2. Use it as a pair of glasses

It wouldn’t be very practical to use this life hack for an extended period of time but if you are stuck without your glasses, or even just looking for your glasses, it can be very helpful. Hold the smartphone camera up to your face and it will magnify everything for you!

3. Use it to file insurance claims

Filing an insurance claim can be a painful experience that involves far more paperwork and waiting than feels necessary. That’s why companies are taking advantage of smartphones to streamline the process.
Esurance, for example, has rolled out real-time video appraisals. Sign in to the app to video chat with an appraiser using the camera on your phone. Allstate on the other hand uses a QuickFoto Claim Guide as part of their app to speed up the claims process.

4. Use it as an extension of your eyes

Your smartphone camera can quite literally be an extra set of eyes for those tough to reach spots you want to see. This can be especially true if you have an extension like a selfie stick to help you reach around corners or above big pieces of furniture. Can’t remember what’s hiding above your tallest cabinet? No worries! Hold your arm up, snap a pic and voila, mystery solved.

5. Use it to scan documents

Don’t have a scanner at home? Now you do. Camscanner is a smartphone app that uses the phone’s camera to digitize paper documents with cutting-edge image processing technology.

6. Use it to remember your license plate

Snap a picture of your license plate so that you never have to run back out to the car to check when someone asks you. Let’s be real, after spending hours at the DMV you don’t want to be that person that holds up the line because you have to go outside to double check your license plate.

7. Use it to order prescriptions

Walgreens and CVS’s apps now allow you to scan your medicine bottle’s barcode with your phone’s camera and pick up the refill within an hour. Gone are the days of walking down to the pharmacy, physically dropping your prescription and killing thirty minutes wandering the aisles while they prepare it.

8. Use it to deposit a check

When is the last time you walked to a bank to deposit a check? In the digital ages, many of us bank with companies that don’t have brick and mortar locations anywhere near us, so getting to a bank to do anything can be incredibly disruptive. The solution? All major bank apps now allow you to take a picture of your check and deposit it directly through the app.

9. Use it to pinpoint nearby locations

Yelp is one of the many companies taking advantage of the augmented reality movement with its Monocle app feature. Point your smartphone camera down a commercial street and Yelp will point out nearly businesses.

10. Use it to remember your coat check

Next time you coat check your jacket, take a picture of the ticket. It is so easy to lose it and if the venue is of a certain size you might be waiting for hours while they try to find your coat. It won’t happen every time but the one time that it does you will be relieved you planned ahead.

11. Use it to turn your recipe into a grocery list

Apps like BigOven’s Recipe Scan let users scan photos of recipes with their smartphones and transform them into a typed up version. This automation comes at a small fee but it is safe to say that the days of manually copying out recipes and shopping lists from cookbooks are on their way out.

12. Use it to journal your food

Whether you are trying to lose weight, stay healthy or just want to remember what you ate, there is a food journaling app for you. If you enjoy photographing your food, you might consider the Eatery, a community-based app in which users upload pictures of their food and the community comments, likes and rates the food from fat to fit. Smartphone cameras can also double as barcode readers for a number of apps like Lose it! or Weight Watchers that track the nutritional value of your meals.

13. Use it to log expenses

Tracking expenses on the go is easy when you have your phone with you. Most major credit cards companies now have apps that let you snap pictures of the receipts to track them as you go. This can be especially helpful if you have work expenses you will need to file at a later date. Want to log them now? Services like Expensify have an app that allows you to photograph receipts and file expense reports on the go.

14. Use it to remember your passport number

Do you know your passport number off the top of your head? How long would it take you to find it? Save a picture of it to your phone and be ready for the next time you might want to be spontaneous and book an international flight.

15. Use it to translate foreign text

Now that you’ve booked your spontaneous trip abroad and are exploring new countries, you might want help deciphering all of those road signs you can’t read. Google Translate’s phone app has an image feature that will translate the text in an image you snap with the in-app camera.

16. Use it to track your favorite wines

When you try a new wine while out to dinner you can now log it into your phone using apps like Vivino that have a label recognition system. Simply scan a photo of the front of the bottle and log notes and ratings for later. If like me you know enough about wine to recognize what you like and don’t like, but not enough to be able to describe your tastes to a sommelier, this is the perfect way to up your wine game!

17. Use it to find beer suggestions

Overwhelmed by the beer menu? SipSnapp has you covered. Use your phone camera to take a picture of the beer menu and the app will spit out a series of ratings, reviews and recommendations written by fellow beer drinkers.

18. Use it to import business cards

Business cards are a cumbersome but critical part of networking. Apps like ABBYY Business Card Reader are making your life easier by storing all of your business cards in your phone. Scan the card using the in-app camera and it will import all of the data. Bonus? You can hook it up to your Salesforce account making it that much easier to follow up post-conference.

19. Use it to connect with friends and family around the world

With apps like Skype and FaceTime, your phone can become a portal to another location and talking face-to-face with people on the other side of the world is a reality. My immediate family lives in three countries on two different continents so it’s nice to be able to pretend like we are sharing a meal even though we are thousands of miles apart.
