How To Write Quality Content For Blog

The most important factor to make any blog successful is quality content . Without quality content on your blog , you will never be able to get high traffic from search engines. Following are the guidelines that you should follow to write quality content for your blog.
Stop worrying about seo and just follow these four simple rules to write best quality content for blog that your users will love as well as Google and other search engines .

  •  Never copy your post content from other sources on internet. Even if you have to copy some text e.g Quote , always give a link back to source of the content . Make sure you link to a high quality source site and not some spamy site with little authority.
  •  Always keep your readers in mind when you are writing your blog posts . Don't write posts for search engines but for people who are going to read it . Make sure that your content is useful for readers.
  • Don't fill your content with unnecessary keywords . Keyword stuffing makes your content hard to read and even search engines don't like it.
  • Always write original content . And try to maintain a reasonable length of your articles. about 500 words tend to be enough for any blog post. try to have a lower limit of about 300 words at least. There is no upper limit as long as you don't put unrelated information in your post content.
Tips For Writing High-Quality Articles
  • 1) Researching for a topic:
We just cannot pick up a topic and write about it. In order to make your content worth appreciation, you need to have proper knowledge on the topic. This is where research comes in.
You can research your upcoming blog post by any of the following methods:
    1) Wikipedia: Wikipedia is the first and foremost resource when you want to get the basic information as well as data statistics of a subject. But, sometimes this does not just fit all. Wikipedia can sometimes be biased or has information that can be manipulated. In that case, you can include the following tools for research:
    2) Google scholar: Google scholar is my go-to source when it writing on topics that need references from university articles, thesis by experts and other published research papers.
    3) Google books: Citing quotes and references from books under public domain can be a great add for your blog post. You can customize Google books to source such information for your upcoming blog posts. Project Gutenberg is the largest collection of free books that you can edit, twist and use for your commercial blog posts.
Other such places, where you can find hidden knowledge to make your post outstanding are The Internet Archive which has way too much information that sometimes can be a gold mine, Google Public data also has some wonderful resources based on your niche.
    Writing headlines:
People have an average attention span of just 8 seconds and no matter how intriguing your blog post is, no one will read it if they are not convinced that it is worth their time within the first few seconds.
So, you have to make your headlines or titles so smart that they just cast a spell on your readers. A boring headline can drive them out even if the content inside is rich in information.
Similarly, a headline that doesn’t deliver its promise will irk your reader and he will never trust your site again. That’s how important headlines are!
Here is an ultimate resource of headlines that work on any content type.
Writing the researched data into a well-formatted post:
While all the researched data are valuable, it isn’t actually needed as it is. They will scare your readers away and moreover raw data is useless unless it is meaningfully processed. So follow these tips to get your writing to the next level.
    a) Start with a fact, an intriguing question or a positive hope:
Kindling the hope of something good in the reader’s mind can keep him stuck to your post till the end. Facts will help you catch the attention of the reader. While a good hope kindling opening paragraph like the below might get all the positive attention of the reader.
“So, how much did your fruit orchard yield this summer? What if I told you can earn threefold with that much fertilizer and half the labor done? Recent developments in machinery farming equipment have really made farming a single man’s quest.”
As you will notice I started by giving them the hope of earning 3X which is very positive and the reader will surely read further to know how.
    b) Do not limit yourself to one-dimensional reader:
In that above paragraph, I started by asking a question to my readers (agriculture or big orchard owners) on the earnings on their farm this year. I never said or gave them a finite number. If I would have said, “I hope you earned above 50$” it would have been a finite question whereas many who earned more or less than that would not read my post further.
Secondly, I did not lure them saying you can make 500$ (again a finite number) more from your farm. I said they can earn three times more which indicates it can be 150$ for someone who earned 50$ and 3000$ for someone who earned 1000$ from their orchards.
This is how I made my content appeal everyone.
     Use long tail keywords:
Keywords are still important if you want some traffic from search engines. However, having keywords less than three to four words makes it quite broad to appeal to a single reader base.
For example, if you (an Australian) weave your content around the keyword “car mechanic shop” you are sure to compete with millions if not billions of other car mechanic shops in the whole world.
Another thing is even if you rank for car mechanics your readers will not be convertible because you simply are not situated near to the location.

Basic computer troubleshooting techniques

Basic computer troubleshooting techniques can help alleviate any frustration when facing a computer problem. Many people deal with computer issues regularly, sometimes they are simple to solve and sometimes they’re not, however, no matter what it is, they always cause headaches and frustrations simply because they happen. By understanding and applying some quick troubleshooting techniques, you may be able to quickly solve your problem and continue with your work as though nothing ever happened.
Learn about different case scenarios for different situations that can help you fix those pesky computer problems when you encounter them.

Knowing basic computer troubleshooting techniques is the key to help you fix virtually any computer problem. It will save you time and money because you can be confident that you'll know what to do to fix them.

While solving computer problems can often be complex, more often than not, some basic troubleshooting will help you quickly fix the more common problems, which are often the simplest ones. Here are the ten steps you should go through to systematically troubleshoot basic computer problems:

1. Take a deep breath and don't panic. Stand up and step back from your computer. You want to approach things in a systematic, calm, and controlled manner. Panicking likely won't help solve your problem, and it could make it much worse, including causing you to lose valuable data.

2. Save your current work. Before doing anything, make sure you save your current work so that you don't lose it. Save it on the hard drive or on a floppy disk. It doesn't matter where, just make sure you save it.

3. Backup your critical data. If it looks like your hard drive may crash or the computer may not start up again, take steps to backup your critical data while it is still working and before you turn it off. Hopefully you have a recent full backup and will only have to backup your most recent documents. Consider copying the data to a network drive or burning it onto a CD-ROM.

4. Reboot your computer. Turn your computer off, let it sit for two minutes, and reboot it. Sometimes one command of the hundreds a computer executes every second can cause corrupted memory or other temporary unexplainable problems. Rebooting will clear out all the gremlins and gives everything a fresh-start.

5. Is everything plugged in properly? Asking this a question may seem very basic, but you will be surprised how often it can often be the fix you are looking for. Cables get bumped or work themselves loose over time. Make sure they are all snug and tight. If you want to look under the hood, and are comfortable doing so, ideally you should check the cables and connections within your computer case as well. You should also make sure all cards and memory are firmly seated by gently but firmly pushing them into their respective slots.

6. Ask yourself what you did last. Did your problems start just after you installed new software programs or updated hardware drivers? This can be a great clue as to the source of a problem.

7. Is your PC Hardware Correct? Wrong PC hardware is often the source of problems. To check your hardware, right-click on My Computer, select Properties, click on the Hardware tab, and then the Device Manager button. This will open the Device Manager dialog box. It lists all the hardware devices on your computer. Devices that aren't working properly will have a yellow exclamation mark next to them. Double-click on the problem devices to open a dialog box that may have details on the problem, and a listing of suggestions on how to fix it.

8. Check you computer for Viruses. Run a complete system scan with your anti-virus software (make sure you update your virus definitions before you run the scan). You can do a free online scan at TrendMicro's Web site (http://www.trendmicro.com/). You should also scan your computer for adware, spyware, or other malware with a product like Ad-aware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/) or SpyBot (http://www.safer-networking.org/). Scanning your machine with two of these products can be helpful as sometimes you will find something that one product missed.

9. Install software or driver updates. If it seems one program or hardware device is acting up, check the manufacturer's Web site for updates. The code in most software is thousands if not millions of lines long and it is impossible for software companies to find all the bugs in their programs. As users discover problems, software and hardware manufacturers often release revised software or updated drivers that include new code to address newly discovered problems.

10. Check for online support. If you get as far as this step, your problem is probably more complex. Most hardware and software manufacturers now have extensive support information online in searchable databases. These are often called Knowledge Bases. Microsoft's support page is at http://support.microsoft.com/. Odds are someone else has already experienced the same problem you have, and you can often a solution online. Good luck with your troubleshooting.

The history of email

Email is much older than ARPANet or the Internet. It was never invented; it evolved from very simple beginnings.

Early email was just a small advance on what we know these days as a file directory - it just put a message in another user's directory in a spot where they could see it when they logged in. Simple as that. Just like leaving a note on someone's desk.

Probably the first email system of this type was MAILBOX, used at Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1965. Another early program to send messages on the same computer was called SNDMSG.

Some of the mainframe computers of this era might have had up to one hundred users -often they used what are called "dumb terminals" to access the mainframe from their work desks. Dumb terminals just connected to the mainframe - they had no storage or memory of their own, they did all their work on the remote mainframe computer.

Before internetworking began, therefore, email could only be used to send messages to various users of the same computer. Once computers began to talk to each other over networks, however, the problem became a little more complex - We needed to be able to put a message in an envelope and address it. To do this, we needed a means to indicate to whom letters should go that the electronic posties understood - just like the postal system, we needed a way to indicate an address.

This is why Ray Tomlinson is credited with inventing email in 1972. Like many of the Internet inventors, Tomlinson worked for Bolt Beranek and Newman as an ARPANET contractor. He picked the @ symbol from the computer keyboard to denote sending messages from one computer to another. So then, for anyone using Internet standards, it was simply a matter of nominating name-of-the-user@name-of-the-computer. Internet pioneer Jon Postel, who we will hear more of later, was one of the first users of the new system, and is credited with describing it as a "nice hack". It certainly was, and it has lasted to this day.

Despite what the world wide web offers, email remains the most important application of the Internet and the most widely used facility it has. Now more than 600 million people internationally use email.

By 1974 there were hundreds of military users of email because ARPANET eventually encouraged it. Email became the saviour of Arpanet, and caused a radical shift in Arpa's purpose.

Things developed rapidly from there. Larry Roberts invented some email folders for his boss so he could sort his mail, a big advance. In 1975 John Vittal developed some software to organize email. By 1976 email had really taken off, and commercial packages began to appear. Within a couple of years, 75% of all ARPANET traffic was email.

Email took us from Arpanet to the Internet. Here was something that ordinary people all over the world wanted to use.

As Ray Tomlinson observed some years later about email, "any single development is stepping on the heels of the previous one and is so closely followed by the next that most advances are obscured. I think that few individuals will be remembered." That's true - to catalogue all the developments would be a huge task.

One of the first new developments when personal computers came on the scene was "offline readers". Offline readers allowed email users to store their email on their own personal computers, and then read it and prepare replies without actually being connected to the network - sort of like Microsoft Outlook can do today.

This was particularly useful in parts of the world where telephone costs to the nearest email system were expensive. (often this involved international calls in the early days) With connection charges of many dollars a minute, it mattered to be able to prepare a reply without being connected to a telephone, and then get on the network to send it. It was also useful because the "offline" mode allowed for more friendly interfaces. Being connected direct to the host email system in this era of very few standards often resulted in delete keys and backspace keys not working, no capacity for text to "wrap around" on the screen of the users computer, and other such annoyances. Offline readers helped a lot.

The first important email standard was called SMTP, or simple message transfer protocol. SMTP was very simple and is still in use - however, as we will hear later in this series, SMTP was a fairly naïve protocol, and made no attempt to find out whether the person claiming to send a message was the person they purported to be. Forgery was (and still is) very easy in email addresses. These basic flaws in the protocol were later to be exploited by viruses and worms, and by security frauds and spammers forging identities. Some of these problems are still being addressed in 2004.

But as it developed email started to take on some pretty neat features. One of the first good commercial systems was Eudora, developed by Steve Dorner in 1988. Not long after Pegasus mail appeared.

When Internet standards for email began to mature the POP (or Post Office Protocol) servers began to appear as a standard - before that each server was a little different. POP was an important standard to allow users to develop mail systems that would work with each other.

These were the days of per-minute charges for email for individual dialup users. For most people on the Internet in those days email and email discussion groups were the main uses. These were many hundreds of these on a wide variety of topics, and as a body of newsgroups they became known as USENET.

With the World Wide Web, email started to be made available with friendly web interfaces by providers such as Yahoo and Hotmail. Usually this was without charge. Now that email was affordable, everyone wanted at least one email address, and the medium was adopted by not just millions, but hundreds of millions of people.

Why do we use the '@' symbol in email addresses?

The '@' symbol is used to distinguished between the User ID 'n Domain name (like hotmail, yahoo, rediff etc).
Some more facts about Email was invented in 1971 by a computer engineer, called Ray Tomlinson, who worked for Bolt Bernek and Newman(BBN)-- the company chosen by the United States Defense Department to build the first internet, way back in 1968 The '@' symbol in email addresses was chosen by Tomlinson because he wanted a keyboard character that didn't occur in people's names. It is said that he just spent just 30-40 seconds to think up the choice of symbol.
You Know the first mail which was sent (between two computer that were actually sitting besides each other),bore the text 'QWERTYUIOP'. the first row alphabets on a QWERTY keyboard
